You get what you pay for Jun 30, 2010 Trying to save money and get good close up shots. That's an oxymoron. If you want great macro shots, invest in a good macro lens. These reduce the light so much that you have to be stock still on a tripod to get a sharp image. That means any breath of wind on your beautiful flower or movement from your little insect will blow the shot. Don't waste your money. Save up for the real thing.

buy a real macro Oct 17, 2009 although it was only $20, it was basically a waste. My lens wont focus with these macro filters on. Had to switch it to manual focus which is terrible. I know its not my lens's fault, I have a pro-lens! Not even sure what the issue is but it doesn't work... better off saving your $20 and waiting till you have enough for a real macro.
Save your money Sep 04, 2009 When I recieved this it was already broken but after some doing I was able to screw the inner ring and glass back into place. I have to be careful though as it still wants to fall out. You get some interesting results with these lenses but I would suggest just going out and buying a real macro lens.
+4 is the best part Jul 02, 2009 I have D90 and 18-105 lens. This kit is quite useful if you don't have macro lens. +4 is the sweet spot, and +10 is bad out of center, but good enough for playing. I see no point in using +1 and +2 parts of a package.
Good Quality Filters Apr 30, 2009 I bought these filters for my DSLR because I wanted to be able to do macro photography without spending hundreds on a macro lens. I've been impressed with the quality of the filters as well as the quality of the photos. The only downside I can see is there is a limited DOF as expected so you have to be patient to get everything exactly in focus sometimes. Also, you may notice some "tunnel vision" depending on the combination of filters and your zoom, but this can be easily cropped out in post-processing
