Nicely made and the instructions are clear. One of my concerns is how to update the CD rom that comes with the system. The screen is very clear and the instructions are clear. The volume could be a tad bit louder. Remote control for dvd is great. Overall its a good product.

I had very similar unit before made by Initial and was expecting this one to be the same. It is not. The biggest difference is the ability to get GPS signal. Sanyo has a remote GPS antena (which already means more wires and more room), and that would be OK if it would not lose a signal everytime you go under a tree or a bridge.
Second, it does not play the movies and give guidence at the same time. It needs nav. DVD to be inserted as oppose to reading directions from a memory chip.
You can't listen to it trough the speakers. It is a bit bulky and does not have a battery. You can't pan map right or left only forward and back.
In summary, I am in the market for a different unit and wish my 3 year old unit by Initial was still working.
