Great buy Jul 23, 2010 Great radio for the price. Must use headphones. I'm still using the orginal ones and have had no problem with them in the few weeks I've owned the radio. The reception (Northern VA) and sound quality (for talk radio, anyway) are quite good and I think the radio is well worth the cost. It's lightweight but not cheap feeling or looking. Very happy with this purchase.
Barely satisfactory Jul 20, 2010 The reception for most stations is fair. The signal tends to get staticky (sp?) if you move around a lot or if you don't place the head phone wires in the "just right" location. I've gotten so annoyed by this that I'm actually looking to buy a different portable fm radio.
On the plus side, it only uses one AA battery and it lasts a long time (> 50 hours).
I gave it three stars instead of two because it was pretty cheap. I'd say for the price it was OK but since I listen to the radio while I work I've gotten tired of the spotty reception and static.
This thing really cooks Jul 16, 2010 This is one smokin' little radio. It outperforms my Superradio in its selectivity and sensitivity on AM. If you want to pick up a lot of AM DX, check this lil' guy out.

Husband's Sidekick Jul 15, 2010 Purchased Sony Walkman for my husband for Father's Day as a replacement to the one he previously had "forever". His Walkman is his SIDEKICK. Whatever project he is doing, his Walkman is right there with him!! So, obviously, when his original one died - he was lost - like he lost his best friend. Since he received this replacement - "All is right in his world AGAIN!" He has been using it non-stop for about 1 month now and no complaints.

Not good for outdoor use Jul 04, 2010 This is the third Sony personal headphone model that I have tried and this model has the same problem as the other two. Once any moisture gets into the jack for the headphones you lose sound in one ear piece first then in both. I just bought this model and used it for only TWO times. Perhaps is suitable for indoor use for people who don't perspire. For outdoor use its a piece of junk like the other two Sony models I have wasted my money on.
